Driving Directions

Hindman is approximately 145 miles southeast of Lexington. From Lexington, take I-75 to I-64 east; exit onto the Mountain Parkway and follow to Hwy 15 exit at Campton. Follow Hwy 15 to Hwy 80 east; follow 80 east to the Hindman exit (KY Hwy 160). *See below*

 

Hindman is approximately 80 miles east of London. From London, take the Hal Rogers Parkway (formerly the Daniel Boone Parkway) east (the Parkway becomes 80 east at Hazard); follow 80 east (16 miles) to the Hindman exit (KY Hwy 160). *See below*

 

Hindman is approximately 120 miles south of Huntington. From Huntington, take I-64 west and exit onto Hwy 23 south. Follow Hwy 23 south to Prestonburg, and take Hwy 80 west. Follow Hwy 80 (32 miles) to the Hindman exit (KY Hwy 160). *See below*

 

Turn from Hwy 80 onto KY Hwy 160 and travel 1.45 miles to the intersection with KY 550. Merge right on KY 550 and travel .15 miles to light near downtown Hindman. Turn left at light and travel .01 miles to the entrance of Hindman Settlement School. Turn right onto Center Street and cross the Jethro Amburgey Bridge to the Settlement School campus. Turn left at the end of the bridge. Guest parking is available near the May Stone Building (large brown building on your left). 

 

The Marie Stewart Museum & Crafts Shop is located .01 miles past the school (on KY Hwy 160) on the left.
